MFL Teacher - Secondary School Wigan

Secondary School in WiganSeptember Start - December (Temporary Cover)We are currently recruiting for a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher specialising in Spanish and French to join a welcoming secondary school in Wigan. This is a temporary position covering from September through to December, ideal for an enthusiastic teacher looking for a short-term opportunity.Your new roleYou will be responsible for teaching Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. The role will involve:

• Planning and delivering high-quality MFL lessons
• Inspiring students to develop confidence in speaking, reading, and writing languages
• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Contributing positively to the wider department and school environment

The ideal candidate:

• Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4
• Specialises in Spanish and French
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
• Is confident in managing behaviour and engaging in mixed-ability classes
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
