MES Developer (Manufacturing)

Our client is a global organisation driving digital transformation across its manufacturing landscape. You will join a team dedicated to strengthening MES workflows, automation, and integration across multiple plants.

As an MES Developer, you will design, configure, and support automated workflows within the MES platform. You will play a key role in improving manufacturing operations through workflow development, system integration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain MES workflows for production, consumption, labeling, and material handling.
• Integrate MES with SAP (PP/MM/QM), MOM/RTI, labeling systems, and other shop-floor platforms.
• Troubleshoot workflow errors, resolve log failures, and support plant operations during incidents.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions while acting as point of contact for multiple teams.
• Participate in SIT/UAT testing cycles and support releases and production environments.
• Document workflow logic, designs, and user guides, and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills

• Experience with MES applications and workflow automation/orchestration tools.
• Understanding of Savigent workflows (Scan & Move, RCV).
• Basic SAP knowledge (PP/MM/QM) and integration experience with APIs, queues, or shop-floor systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Minimum 8 years of development experience in VB, .NET, C#, and full SDLC.
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server, log analysis, and PL/SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing, MES/MOM, labeling systems, or material traceability.
• Understanding of shop-floor operations.
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
