Reporting to: Line Manager.

Job Overview

The Arts Detached Youth Worker will be responsible for the development and delivery of agreed programme areas, including detached youth work, performing arts, wellbeing, and wider youth work activities.

These programmes will be delivered as part of the SPACE Project and within local community settings.

The role will involve the planning, facilitation, monitoring, and evaluation of educational detached and arts-based youth work activities designed to:

• Improve self-esteem and confidence
• Enhance health and wellbeing
• Provide safe and accessible spaces for young people
• Strengthen peer relationships
• Reduce anti-social behaviour
• Promote community cohesion

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of health and safety across all areas of work, including the completion and review of risk assessments for all programmes and activities.

The post holder must also hold a Level 2 qualification in relation to young people and performing/creative arts.
