Job Description

Our clients, an innovative and forward-thinking business in Manchester, are seeking an Mergers and Acquisitions Associate (M&A Associate) to join their team. This is an opportunity to join an expanding division, supporting entrepreneurs and businesses across the UK. The role will involve working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working closely with Business owners, Investors and Senior Dealmakers.

  • Monday - Friday (hybrid working available)
The successful Mergers and Acquisitions Associate will be offered
  • Basic salary £40,000 - £50,000
  • OTE £55,000 - £65,000

Mergers and Acquisitions Associate requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience if you hold an ACA, ACCA, CFA or similar qualification, or 5 years' experience in valuations, corporate finance, or a related field if not qualified.
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills (Excel and/or valuation software).
  • Experience preparing or reviewing business valuations, ideally within M&A, corporate finance, or accountancy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
As a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate your role will involve
  • Conduct business valuations using a variety of methodologies (DCF, market comparables, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches).
  • Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support deal negotiations.
  • Analyse financial statements and business performance to identify key value drivers.
  • Draft professional valuation reports and client presentations.
  • Support due diligence processes and assist with transaction execution.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities within the existing client base.
