Job Description

We are looking for a Merchandiser to lead trading, planning and stock management activities to drive sales, profit and availability across Harrods Collections departments. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in maximising sales, profit and stock performance across all channels. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising and key stakeholders, you will use data, commercial insight and forward planning to build profitable assortments, identify opportunities and mitigate risks. You will lead in-season trading and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, effective inventory management and the delivery of key business KPIs, while also supporting and developing junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading in-season trading, forecasting and performance analysis to maximise sales opportunities and minimise commercial risks.
  • Developing and maintaining assortment, range and pricing plans in partnership with Buying teams to deliver commercial objectives.
  • Managing stock flow, inventory levels and product lifecycle performance to ensure strong availability and efficient stock management.
  • Using customer, sales and market insights to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while providing guidance and support to junior merchandising team members.
Hybrid working

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working - this is what we refer to as 'Hybrid'. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs. About You

You will be a commercially minded merchandising professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys turning data into actionable business decisions. You will have the confidence to make informed recommendations, challenge where appropriate and respond quickly to changing trading conditions. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work under pressure. You will also be a collaborative team player who can influence stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex information clearly and effectively. Most importantly, you will be passionate about delivering strong commercial results while continually looking for ways to improve processes and performance.

You will also have: Previous merchandising experience with strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, WSSI and Open to Buy processes. Advanced analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into commercial actions. Experience building effective relationships across cross-functional teams and presenting recommendations with confidence.
