To work alongside clients, families, carers and multi-disciplinary team members in the CMHT.
To deliver a set of wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions aligned to cognitive behavioural principles, based on the best evidence available that address problems often experienced by people with severe mental health problems and who have experienced trauma.
Please note qualification from PWP (IAPT)Training Course or equivalent i.e. Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with significant and relevant Primary or Secondary Care experience is essential to this post.
Main duties of the job The Heywood & Middleton Community Mental Health Team is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed qualified Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner to join their highly successful and motivated team. For the role, you must have a Diploma/Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological interventions in order to provide high volume, low intensity CBT interventions for people with common mental health problems. Assessments and interventions may be delivered face to face, via the telephone or in groups. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential to the post as it the needs to work flexibly

What happens if I am offered the position after interview?

Person specification Education/qualifications
- Successful completion of the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health) (equivalent to degree level)
- A graduate certificate (RQF Level 6) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
- BABCP and or BPS registered/registerable or working towards registration
- Academic and/or accredited qualifications in mental health; psychology
- Postgraduate certificate (RQF Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
- Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice.
- Experience running groups/ activities
- Experience working as part of a team
- Experience being supervised
- Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing
- Lived experience of mental health issues/ difficulties
- Able to establish and maintain empathic, supportive relationships with people in significant distress or who are cognitively impaired, their families and carers.
- Able to receive, understand and communicate confidential client information of a sensitive and often complex nature, including discussing care with family members within boundaries of confidentiality
- Able to communicate in a sensitive and reassuring manner, with empathy and where appropriate reassurance
- Able to make good use of clinical supervision in a group and/ or individual format.
