Medium Voltage Commissioning Engineer

At Oxigent Technologies, we are looking for a MEDIUM VOLTAGE COMMISSIONING ENGINEER to participate in the commissioning of MV switchgear and panels for major projects, industrial plants, and Data Centers across Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries.

If selected, your mission will be to ensure that each Medium Voltage installation is safely energized and handed over to the client with all required documentation and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the startup and commissioning of Medium Voltage switchgear and panels (MCset, PIX, GHA, SM6/RM6/GM AirSeT, Premset).

• Assess operating and installation conditions of MV systems, performing on-site adjustments for optimal performance.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for issues related to quality, software, or operating conditions.

• Document test results and prepare comprehensive field service reports.

• Deliver training to clients on basic MV equipment operation.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MV infrastructure.

• Collaborate with the manufacturer's engineering teams and on-site partners.

Requirements

• Technical background in Electrotechnics or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's/Engineering degree preferred).

• At least 5 years of experience in commissioning or field services within Medium Voltage power distribution.

• Fluent English (minimum B2+, spoken and written) and professional working proficiency in Spanish (C1).

• Deep understanding of MV electrical principles, automation, and protection relays.

• Hands-on mechanical and electrical skills using MV testing and measurement instruments.

• Proven ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematic wiring diagrams, and technical standards.

• Proficiency in MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, and power commissioning software tools.

• Autonomous mindset, complex problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong customer orientation, and teamwork.

• Availability to travel across Europe more than 70% of the time.

• Valued extras: Experience with Sepam, MiCOM, Easergy P3/P5/P7 relays, MV transformers (Trihal, Minera), and primary/secondary switchgear.
