Job Description

We are a small, friendly, and forward-thinking GP practice seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist / Administration Assistant.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and IT skills, along with a solid understanding of administrative processes. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the practice, supporting both patients and clinical staff.

Key Duties Include:
  • Providing a professional, confidential and welcoming reception service
  • Signpost patients to the most appropriate clinician / service
  • Processing prescription requests
  • Process new registrations as per practice protocols
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail/emails
  • Handling patient enquiries in person, by phone, and online
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks
  • Audio typing and document management
