The Role:

Public Health Ontario laboratory in London, ON, seeks a Medical Lab Technologist to join a state-of-the-art, newly built laboratory. The role offers a collaborative team environment, convenient location with free parking, and involves performing various tests supporting Ontario's healthcare system. The lab operates on two shifts, Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities include performing clinical and environmental laboratory tests, ensuring quality and accuracy, reporting results within designated timeframes, maintaining equipment, supporting quality management, and adhering to confidentiality and regulatory standards.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and safety practices
• Experience with laboratory information systems
• Understanding of accreditation and regulatory standards

Education and Experience:

• Certification with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
• Security clearance for working in CL3 Laboratory may be required

Attributes and Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Details:

Duration: 6-month contract

Hours: 36.25/week

Salary: $34.58 - $44.34 per hour
