Requirements:
Previous experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant or in a healthcare/laboratory environment
Knowledge of basic laboratory practices and infection control
Familiarity with LIMS and Experience of using computer systems
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights, if required
Right to work in the UK

Key Responsibilities:
Receive, sort, label, and prepare biological samples in accordance with lab protocols
Print and manage barcode labels; prepare and dispatch specimen containers to wards and GP surgeries
Support Biomedical Scientists with tasks contributing to authorised results
Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory, and assist with the receipt and storage of consumables
Perform cleaning, equipment decontamination, and proper sample storage post-analysis
Follow health & safety guidelines, waste disposal procedures, and infection control protocols
