Job Description

As a Medical Coding Specialist you will be joining the world's largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.


What you will be doing:

  1. Coding performed in accordance with departmental coding conventions and company SOPs.
  2. The coder will generate queries for clarification of potentially discrepant data.
  3. Ability to work in cross-functional team-oriented environments.
  4. Assist with data coding consistency reviews and SAE reconciliation, as needed.
  5. The Coder will collaborate with medical monitors, Clinical and Data Management team members, as required, to ensure the timely processing of coding, according to project timelines.
  6. The coder should have working knowledge of coding tools (ie. Medidata RAVE Coder, TMS, Veeva, etc.)
  7. Assist in interdepartmental training of new staff as needed.

You are:

  1. Bachelors degree or related health science background.
  2. Minimum 4 years industry experience in pharmacovigilance, clinical research, and/or clinical data management required.
  3. Experience with MedDRA and WHODD preferred.
  4. Working knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trials & coding is essential.
  5. Excellent written and oral skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and within cross functional teams.
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high quality work.
