Role Overview:

We are seeking an experiencedMechanical Supervisorto oversee and coordinate mechanical installations on a construction project in Lincoln. This temporary role, offered through an agency, involves working with a reputable contractor to ensure the successful delivery of mechanical systems including LTHW, domestic water, ventilation, specialist plant, and soil & waste systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning & Coordination:

    • Schedule and manage the installation of LTHW, domestic water, ventilation, soil & waste, and specialist plant systems.
    • Ensure works are executed in line with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Technical Review:

    • Review mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and identify potential issues.
    • Provide feedback and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Material Management:

    • Plan and coordinate timely delivery of materials to site.
    • Liaise with the supply chain to ensure availability and quality of required components.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Work closely with the supply team, subcontractors, and site operatives to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Maintain clear communication with the client, addressing queries and providing updates.
  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare and submit internal progress reports.
    • Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and installations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in mechanical supervision within the building services or construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems including LTHW, domestic water, ventilation, and specialist plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • CSCS card and relevant site qualifications (e.g., SSSTS or SMSTS) preferred.
Contract Details:
  • Start Date:Immediate / As agreed

  • Rate:Competitive, based on experience
  • Hours:Full-time, site-based
