Job Description

Location: South West England (Field & Remote-Based)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £70,000 + Car Allowance/Company Vehicle + Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to take the lead on delivering multiple commercial projects across the South West. You'll be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle - from planning and procurement through to delivery and handover - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong mechanical background and proven project leadership experience in the commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple mechanical projects across commercial sites (office buildings, retail units, schools, healthcare, etc.)
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
  • Oversee site progress, quality control, health & safety, and compliance
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring expectations are met
  • Produce and manage project documentation, including RAMS, programs of work, and handover packs
  • Manage budgets, monitor costs, and report on financial performance
  • Attend site meetings and carry out site inspections

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally in commercial environments
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services
  • Knowledge of current regulations and compliance standards (e.g. H&S, CDM, building regs)
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Full UK driving license (essential)
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
  • Experience working with design and build contracts
  • Familiarity with project management software/tools (MS Project, etc.)
