Mechanical maintenance engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Carrying out mechanical maintenance, both reactive and planned, on a range of equipment including AHU's, piped and ducted systems, pumps, pressurisation units, plumbing, and pipefitting.
2. The post holder shall have knowledge of L8 requirements, both theoretical and practical.
3. Responding in a 'hands-on' capacity to Critical Plant breakdowns and undertaking remedial action in the field.
4. Completing and recording PPM tasks.
5. Carrying out routine inspections of plant and systems during each shift.
6. Assisting in implementing emergency and contingency procedures as required from time to time.

Working Hours

All team members are expected to work a basic week based on a shift system, generally from 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday, with a cyclic late shift of 12:00 to 20:00 and a cyclic Saturday shift of 08:00 to 16:00.
