Mechanical Engineer - Building Installations (HVAC, Heating & Sanitation)

Location: The Netherlands

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer - Building Installations, you will design and develop detailed building installations based on your expertise and client requirements. Your work will focus on mechanical systems, including HVAC, heating, and sanitation, with responsibilities such as:

  • Designing tailor-made mechanical installations for a wide range of projects;
  • Collecting project data on-site or using provided information to create detailed designs and reports;
  • Performing mechanical calculations for ventilation, heating, and cooling loads;
  • Producing 2D/3D drawings and models (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and reviewing them with consultants;
  • Preparing construction cost estimates for the proposed mechanical systems.


What we are looking for

  • Completed relevant education at MBO 4 or HBO level (Mechanical Engineering or related);
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical building installations;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit MEP, ideally with StabiCad;
  • Basic Safety (VCA) certification;
  • Knowledge of current laws, regulations, and standards (NEN, ISSO, BBL);
  • Familiarity with MS Office and preferably software like VABI;
  • Experience with control systems is a plus;
  • Comfortable communicating in English for collaboration with international teams.
