Are you a qualified Maths Teacher looking for a short-term teaching opportunity in Southport? Tradewind Education is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to provide full-time cover at a welcoming secondary school in Southport for approximately two weeks, while a member of staff is away on jury service.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher, ECT or qualified teacher looking for a short-term role with an immediate start.

The Role

• Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Follow existing schemes of work and lesson plans where provided.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess pupil understanding and provide appropriate feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
• Ensure continuity of learning throughout the short-term absence.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching status.
• Has experience teaching Maths within a secondary school.
• Is confident teaching across KS3 and KS4.
• Has strong classroom management skills.
• Can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils.
• Is reliable, adaptable and able to start at short notice.
• ECTs with appropriate experience are welcome to apply.
