Salary: £32,916 to £45,535 (M1 to M6)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 per week, Term Time Only
SEN Maths Teacher - Inspire, Support and Transform Learning
A rewarding opportunity is available for a compassionate, creative and committed SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist education team supporting children and young people aged 7-19. This role is ideal for a teacher who believes in personalised, multi sensory learning and wants to make a meaningful difference every day.
The provision supports learners who may be "lost to learning" or "hard to place," offering flexible, relationship centred pathways for those who struggle in mainstream settings.
About the RoleYou will deliver Maths teaching through a personalised, flexible curriculum, working with learners in small groups or 1:1 across multiple learning hubs. Collaboration is central to the role: you'll work closely with Site Lead Teachers to design innovative, multi sensory learning experiences tailored to each learner's needs, interests and goals.
Your teaching will focus on building confidence, improving engagement and supporting academic, social and emotional progress, while ensuring safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion remain at the heart of your practice.
Key Responsibilities- Planning, delivering and reviewing personalised learning programmes
- Creating engaging, varied lessons that meet diverse needs
- Involving young people in decisions about their learning
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures are followed
- Supporting Learning Managers with SEN information, assessments, tracking and reports
- Contributing to curriculum development and subject specific improvement plans
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting to commissioning bodies (e.g., EHCPs, transition planning)
- Committing to ongoing professional development and best practice in SEN teaching
- A teacher passionate about SEN and learner centred practice
- Someone who thrives in a flexible, creative environment
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with learners, families and colleagues
- A reflective practitioner committed to growth and curriculum improvement
- Qualified Teacher Status
- SEN teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching Maths
- Ability to travel between sites within the locality of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire
- Full driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance
