Maths Teacher

Maths Teacher / ECT - September 2024 - Permanent role - St Albans, Hertfordshire - MPS/UPS - 'Good' Ofsted School - Exceptional support and development

A school in St Albans, Herts is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join their team starting in September on a permanent basis. The school welcomes both experienced and newly qualified teachers and provides great support to all team members.

The school has state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities and has been graded as 'Good' by Ofsted in their recent inspection. They offer a comprehensive curriculum from Key Stage 3 through to A-level and require the incoming Maths Teacher to have the confidence to teach up to GCSE level.

Person specification:

  • Hold a relevant degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, or a strong understanding of the Maths curriculum
  • Be confident teaching up to GCSE level and have a good understanding of the A-level Maths curriculum
  • Be passionate about Maths and have a desire to inspire students to achieve their full potential
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and willing to participate in the school's CPD programme
  • Be dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all students feel valued and supported
  • Have a growth mindset and be open to feedback, always striving to improve your own teaching practice
