About the Role

As our Maths Expert, you will:

• As an Maths Expert with PET-Xi, you'll be part of a highly enthusiastic team delivering motivational, intensive GCSE Maths programmes to young learners who need extra support.
• Working alongside a Classroom Lead, you'll bring lessons to life using our pre-designed, engaging resources, ensuring students make rapid and confident progress.
• This role is self-employed, with regular work available across the UK. Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging, high-energy Maths sessions using PET-Xi's proven methods and resources
• Motivate and inspire young learners to achieve defined learning outcomes
• Adapt teaching style to suit individual learning needs and group dynamics
• Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with your Classroom Lead and wider team
• Mark assessments quickly and accurately
• Use Microsoft Office confidently for basic tasks and reporting

What We're Looking For

Qualifications (recommended):

• QTS or working towards it
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience & Skills:

• Experience engaging and supporting young people
• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
• Ability to adapt teaching methods at pace
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own diary
• Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Team-focused, reliable, and high-energy with a 'can-do' attitude
• Comfortable working to deadlines
