Maternity Practitioner needed ASAP, based in London

A warm and welcoming family is looking for an experienced Maternity Practitioner to support them with their second baby, born in mid July 2026. The ideal candidate has excellent newborn experience, up to date NHS guidance knowledge, and a calm, reassuring approach. A high standard of hygiene, safe sterilisation, infection prevention and a clean environment are essential.

The successful candidate will monitor and record the baby's progress, support a breastfeeding mother and offer practical, evidence based advice throughout the newborn period. They should be organised, professional, discreet and able to integrate seamlessly into the family home while providing reassurance and guidance whenever needed.

Job start date: as soon as possible
Contract end date: up to 12 weeks
Location: Mayfair (maximum four weeks in France if travelling with the family)
Gross hourly rate: £450 per day
Hours: 20 hours + 4 hour break
Days: 5 or 6 days per week
Specialist or expert required: Qualified Maternity Practitioner (L3 minimum)
Minimum experience: 5 10 years
Qualifications required: 12 hour First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding L2
Driving required: N/A

Qualifications and Support:

• Out of office support as a self employed practitioner
• Must have enhanced DBS, 12 hour Paediatric First Aid, and two professional references (one current or last employer), both immediately contactable.
• Appropriate professional insurance (maternity practitioner or consultant insurance) is recommended.
