Marketing Lead Rare Disease


Location: Spain, Remote


About the Role

Our client are seeking an experienced pharmaceutical marketing professional to lead activities surrounding the pre-launch and official launch of an innovative orphan drug. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rare disease product launches, ideally with experience in neuro-pediatrics. This temporary position is designed to deliver a strategic and successful launch in the national market. The role reports to the General Manager for the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive launch plan in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead planning and execution of the launch event (concept, agenda, speaker coordination, content, logistics, and follow-up).
  • Design and produce compliant promotional and non-promotional materials.
  • Build and maintain engagement with key healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
  • Manage both internal communications (training, updates, alignment) and external communications (press, web content, conferences).
  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy including content, channels, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate across departments including field force, medical, global marketing, legal, and compliance to ensure alignment.
  • Oversee external creative and event agencies.


Your Profile

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience, including 2 years leading product launches.
  • Deep understanding of the orphan drug/rare disease space.
  • Proven experience in organizing high-impact events and multichannel campaigns.
  • Ideally, background in neuro-pediatrics or pediatric specialties.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking, project management, and communication skills.
