Job Description

Marketing Executive

  • Location: Coventry
  • Working: Hybrid
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 basic salary + bonus + benefits

About the Role

Our client is looking for a driven and commercially minded B2B Marketing Executive with experience working with technical products or services. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a digital transformation, taking ownership of marketing activity and directly contributing to lead generation and business growth.

This role offers significant scope for progression. As the company grows, the successful candidate could develop into the number two within the marketing function or take responsibility for leading the function directly.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong marketing fundamentals with a genuinely hands-on approach.

You'll ideally have:

  • At least 2 years' B2B marketing experience, preferably working with technical products or services.
  • Do you have practical experience across campaign management, content creation, website development and maintenance, and AI-enabled marketing?
  • Demonstrable experience using AI in marketing, with examples of tools, systems or workflows you have implemented and the results they delivered.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to understand complex technical propositions and turn them into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: copywriting, graphic design or digital marketing, alongside a good understanding of the wider marketing mix.
  • A track record of contributing to marketing strategy and delivering measurable campaign results.
  • A structured, analytical and data-driven approach to solving complex problems.
  • The ability to research markets, interpret information and make well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the independence and discipline to manage your own workload and deliver against commitments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate ideas clearly and challenge when necessary.
  • A proactive, energetic and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to thrive within an SME environment.
  • A genuine interest in using technology and new tools to improve how marketing is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Join a small, hands-on marketing team where the majority of marketing activity is managed and delivered internally.
  • Create a broad range of marketing and sales materials, including website content, customer and sales collateral, case studies, news articles, newsletters, product information and release updates.
  • Ensure product manuals, FAQs and other technical customer information remain accurate, relevant and up to date.
  • Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns, including database development, audience segmentation, messaging, campaign automation and performance tracking, with responsibility for generating high-quality leads.
  • Manage and develop the company's websites and microsites, including WordPress content, HTML/CSS/JavaScript updates, design improvements, SEO, PPC and emerging AI/LLM search strategies.
  • Develop and use AI tools and automated workflows to improve marketing productivity across content creation, design, research, campaigns and reporting.
  • Track and evaluate campaign, website and content performance, using insights and data to improve lead generation, conversion and sales support.
  • Support social media activity and help shape the company's wider digital presence, with opportunities to take increasing ownership over time.
  • Assist with product and marketing strategy by researching target markets, regions, pricing, sales channels and emerging technologies, and helping develop effective product positioning.
  • Support larger projects when required, including new product launches, major content initiatives, presentations, webinars, partner marketing, PR, events and industry activities.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team and play an increasingly important role within the marketing function, with the potential to progress into a senior marketing position or lead the function.
