We're looking for a Market Improvement Analyst to help improve a regulated market that serves over one million business customers. You'll work on initiatives that enhance market performance, improve customer outcomes and support effective collaboration between industry participants.

What You'll Be DoingAs a Market Improvement Analyst, you will:
- Lead and deliver market improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
- Analyse market data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop robust, evidence-based business cases and recommendations.
- Manage initiatives through the full change lifecycle.
- Gather and document business requirements in clear, plain English.
- Support updates to market rules, processes and supporting documentation.
- Work with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders to design practical solutions.
- Plan and facilitate consultations, workshops, webinars and working groups.
- Analyse stakeholder feedback and incorporate it into improvement proposals.
- Prepare reports, presentations and committee papers for governance meetings.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Provide expert insight and advice on market improvement initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at industry forums and stakeholder events.
- Produce regular reporting and performance analysis to support informed decision-making.

Essential Skills & Experience- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience analysing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to develop balanced, evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience gathering business requirements and mapping processes.
- Strong written communication and report writing skills.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable working within complex regulatory or governance environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
- Confident using Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Experience working in regulated industries.
- Knowledge of governance, compliance or market change processes.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python or R.
- Experience producing dashboards or data visualisations.
- Understanding of commercial, regulatory or financial frameworks.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile, PRINCE2 or other project management methodologies.
Essential:
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Desirable:
- Degree in a numerical, analytical or business-related discipline.
- Alternatively, equivalent professional experience in analytical, reporting or business improvement roles.
- Project management qualifications or equivalent experience.
