MARINE Senior Technician - Client Services

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual who is keen to take their next career step in a fast-paced and dynamic Marine Client Services team, with the opportunity to work closely alongside our broking teams globally. The role is based in our London office on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and shape Oneglobal's growing international network of offices. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in a fast-paced Marine Client Services function and will provide valued input for proactively implementing process efficiencies and advising on complex global technical service matters, leading on all aspects of the Client Services lifecycle - including slip production, risk creation, premium processing and managing client and broker expectations. The role also encompasses management of a team, steering business and strategic direction, and championing continuous personal growth.
Key Accountabilities- Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and ability to communicate with various stakeholders, including clients, underwriters, colleagues and senior management.
- Ensure the timely creation and preparation of market and client documentation, including slip production, endorsements, wording, clause knowledge and geographical risk influences.
- Initiate and monitor impending renewals, providing brokers with renewal information to enable negotiable terms.
- Monitor workloads efficiently, utilising reporting, particularly noting premium conditions - PPW's, workflow and financial balances.
- Support risk maintenance, premium processing, and circulation of documentation. Manage client portfolios through to completion.
- Perform quality control checks at relevant stages of the process, with a view to improve accuracy, maximising efficiencies and minimising rework.
- Review, monitor and provide resolution to technical questions from clients, markets, IBA, claims and brokers to ensure the clients best interests are maintained.
- Proactively provide coaching and guidance to team members and share technical expertise and knowledge.
- Act as subject matter expert for Marine complex technical matters.
- Maintain and keep up to date all internal systems and databases, ensuring regulatory requirements and procedures are adhered to. Proactively implement process and system efficiencies.
- Proactively partner with the relevant broking teams providing broker support, preparing renewal statistics/documentation ready for market placement.
- Ensure client service delivery is continuously reviewed and monitored to achieve optimal client satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with markets, clients and collaborate with colleagues to provide optimal service to clients.
- Previous exposure and sound knowledge of Marine business.
- Previous exposure and knowledge of Cargo and Aviation is beneficial.
- Extensive contract wording and clause production experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, but equally comfortable working as part of a team, mentoring and coaching other team members.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of market dynamics and how this impacts on existing and potential clients.
- Ability to analyse and dissect existing (re)insurance arrangements and to offer viable alternatives to the benefit of the client and organisation.
- Well organized and able to prioritise and multi-task in an ever-changing fast paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of market and products with an ability to adapt these to client needs.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Team player and willing to work flexibly and assist colleagues as required.
