Join Our Team
You will be Marine Operations Manager . You will report to the Global Head of Marine . You will provide support services to the Marine team. This role is largely based on underwriting and data accuracy and control; it requires the role holder to have a working knowledge of best practice underwriting process along with a continuous improvement mindset.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the day to day operational requirements of the Marine team to support the Global Head of Marine in ensuring professional management and control of underwriting, exposure management, pricing, accounting, claim s , governance and compliance, and reinsurance process es is delivered and maintained .
- S upport the Global Head of Marine in ensuring all Marine reporting , record keep and audit requirements are met .
- R epresent the Marine team in internal interactions and relationships with SiriusPoint Management and other SiriusPoint teams.
- R epresent the Marine team in interactions and relationships with external SiriusPoint clients and contacts (Brokers, Insureds, Reinsurers , Lloyd's etc).
- Co - ordinate requisite administra t ive support to Marine underwriters
- Maintain oversight of underwriting process and manage associated operational risks .
- Support Delegated Underwriting process (including Bordereaux and Exposure Management data collection).
- Work to ensure best practice and professional management and reporting of Exposure Management data is delivered.
- Support Pricing Model usage and development .
- Maintain control of Marine system processing and Dashboard status (including all accounting queries and credit control function).
- Maintain excellent working knowledge all all SiriusPoint systems and functions.
- Produce Marine operational reports, metrics and MI as required.
- Ensure the business timetable is adhered to and that all internal and external reporting deadlines are met .
- Continuously a chieve operational efficiencies and improvement by the progr essive implementation of systems, working practices, data analytics, service levels and procedures etc .
- Support the Global Head of Marine in Business Planning requirements (Looking ahead number f orecasting and written Plans etc).
- Co-chair weekly Marine meeting with Global Head of Marine and produce meeting data.
- Any other ad hoc duties as defined and agreed with the Global Head of Marine.
