Marine EngineerOur esteemed client is seeking a talented Marine Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of their expanding fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) across the UK and Europe. As a Marine Engineer, you'll report directly to the Technical Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness and efficiency of our vessels.Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake general vessel maintenance, inspections, and repairs, including engine replacements and installations.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in vessel electrical, hydraulic, and heating systems.
  • Collaborate closely with crew members to identify operational challenges and provide training on vessel servicing and checks.
  • Be willing to travel and work at multiple locations across the UK and Europe, with a flexible approach to working hours, including emergency repairs.
  • Maintain and promote QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) standards on all vessels and sites, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
Skills and Experience:Essential:
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering roles, preferably within the marine industry.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possession of a full, valid driving license.
Desirable:
  • Preferably holds an L3 Diploma/NVQ in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a marine-related role would be advantageous.
