Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Salary: £27,646 plus 15% shift allowance

Contract Type: 6 month fixed term contract

What you will do:

• Ensure material is despatched to requirements as safely and efficiently as possible.
• Move inbound into the Warehouse from all mills, working to plans and within the scope of space/resource available.
• Operate MDT for loading and inbound, remote crane, and maintain housekeeping.
• Safely load and unload goods using Combi Lift MDT Truck and remote control crane with slings, checking quality and ensuring paperwork matches.
• Handle internal movements of bundles/equipment using a remote controlled crane.
• Report any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Team leaders.
• Keep the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintain equipment.
• Adhere to workplace health, safety and environmental requirements when handling goods to ensure own and others' safety.
• Carry out lifting and manoeuvring of product in accordance with manual handling standards and operational procedures.
• Treat the product with care and concern at all times.
• Move stock around the site using RTS truck, crane with slinging ropes, or occasionally dunnage with forklift truck.

What you will need:

• Computer literacy, including knowledge of how to use scanners and relevant software programs such as warehouse management systems (training will be provided).
• Good communication skills with hauliers/shunters to achieve efficient and safe load build for goods dispatch.
• Ability to carry out stock take as and when required, ensuring paperwork/ERP system is up to date.
