We are currently seeking Manufacturing Storesperson to join our dynamic team within the Store & Assembly Department of a renowned global telecommunications company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high quality products while working in a fast paced and innovative environment.
Manufacturing Storesperson in the Stores & Assembly Department play a crucial role in the assembly and handling of subsea and land based telecommunication equipment.
Responsibilities- Warehouse Activities: Execute unpacking/packing of materials and maintain accurate records of goods in/out deliveries.
- Assembly: Follow documented processes for the safe and accurate mechanical or electro mechanical assembly of products.
- Quality Control: Inspect assembled components to ensure they meet established standards.
- Material Handling: Manage the handling, storage, and transportation of materials within the department.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- General Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department to ensure smooth operations.
- Educational Qualification: GCSE or Equivalent.
- Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle hand tools and perform assembly tasks with precision.
- Technical Experience: Experience using hand tools (e.g., torque screwdrivers) and SAP experience are advantageous.
- Equipment Operation: Experience with pump trucks, forklifts, or reach trucks is desirable.
This role offers full, paid training provided in our state of the art Training School facilities located on site in Greenwich, SE London. Previous experience in similar roles would be beneficial, but we welcome candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and a commitment to producing high quality work.
