Job Description

We are seeking a Producibility Manufacturing Engineer to join Rolls Royce Submarines. This role involves influencing new designs for manufacturability, improving existing product designs, and translating these into world-class manufacturing processes that meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Execute Manufacturing Product Introduction activities, including designing the Method of Manufacture and process steps using Product Quality Planning tools
  2. Apply knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA to influence product definition and final manufacturing processes
  3. Create and validate Production Technical Instructions to meet design intent and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  4. Manage First offs, new part numbers, resequencing, and tooling introductions as the manufacturing technical authority
  5. Represent manufacturing engineering within cross-functional teams for assigned parts
Candidate Profile
  • Experience with fabrications, valves, complex assemblies, machining, or critical classified components
  • Degree or equivalent in engineering or related field, with experience in manufacturing/process engineering
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean techniques
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organization
