Sherpa Exclusive! That's right, we'reseeking an experienced and dedicated Tax Practice Directorto oversee the day-to-day operations of a boutiquefirm and you won't see this role anywhere else! The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in tax, audit, and bookkeeping services. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the firm, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants, bookkeepers, and administrative staff.
- Develop and implement strategies for business growth and client retention.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Client Services:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing expert advice and solutions.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, financial statements, and audit reports.
- Address and resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Monitor the financial performance of the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Implement cost control measures and improve operational efficiencies.
- Manage billing and collections to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
- Develop and maintain strong professional networks and partnerships.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Quality Control:
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all financial documents and services provided by the firm.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and quality assurance processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- CPA certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, audit, and bookkeeping services.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles, and auditing standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
