Overview

Managing Director - PE-focused Transformation at FTI Consulting. The FTI PE Performance Improvement team delivers high-impact consulting projects for Private Equity clients in the UK and across EMEA, as well as for corporates. The EMEA Business Transformation team supports growth across multiple regions, with offices globally. This role involves client-facing leadership, business development, and delivering high-quality client work within a fast-paced PE-focused practice.

About The Role

Our Managing Directors (MDs) are client-facing and work-generating consultants who typically lead smaller projects and serve as the delivery lead on large projects (both pre and post deal). They are a key part of the management of a successful growing practice that operates across EMEA. The role includes business development, leading pitches and generating own work from an established network of Private Equity contacts in the UK, as well as delivering high-quality client work.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Proven experience advising PE clients on pre and post-deal topics including Operational Due Diligences, Carve Out Due Diligences and Post-Deal full Potential Programmes addressing cost buckets on the target P&L, growth, operations, supply chain, SG&A and NWC, with value creation impact on performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at operating within the PE industry from diligence to transformation.
• Ability to interface and collaborate with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations (pre and post deal).
• Ability to work effectively with PE deal teams, PE Operational Excellence teams and Portfolio management teams to achieve fast-paced results.
• A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and deductive reasoning.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment as a leader in the firm.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment to meet client needs.
• Ability and willingness to travel at short notice, nationally and internationally.
