The Transition Labs help our most senior clients achieve personal success. Through a personalised one day client workshop, we help an individual (either first time in role or having recently changed companies) frame their priorities, assess their talent and organisation, and identify different approaches to managing stakeholder relations. The sessions are conducted by a small team of experienced Deloitte facilitators.

The role of the Lab Manager is critical to the success of the Labs in managing the end to end preparation and engagement processes with all stakeholders and enable senior partners within the firm to deliver a valuable session to the client.

The role sits within the Executive and Board Programme (EBP) team. The Executive and Board Programme is an extremely successful eminence and relationship programme, focused on supporting senior and executive level professionals of our largest and most influential clients in their career journey.We help our clients at critical career transitioning and teaming points of their careers, which is a key investment in our Firm's strategy and business plan.

The successful applicant will:
  • Be highly organised with project management approach to managing workload. Able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Have excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Have a broad understanding and curiosity around client issues and what is keeping them awake at night.
  • Be a team player and have a collaborative mind-set, helping to make connections across the business.
Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end Lab management: Orchestrate and oversee all aspects of the Lab process from initial opportunity through to completion and follow up, supported by the operations team.
  • Senior client & Partner interaction: Communicate effectively with senior clients (CXOs, NEDs) and their offices, appropriately positioning the Lab to the client - join and present on client calls and tailor communications to create impact, addressing queries and ensuring smooth preparation for the Lab. Collaborate closely with Deloitte Partners, providing support and ensuring alignment throughout the process.
  • Account team advisor: As the Lab expert, advise internal account teams on their role in the process and manage the account team's contribution to the preparation work, coordinating and lead internal planning calls, training and technology upskilling sessions for facilitators to deliver the best impact for the client.
  • Content development & quality control: Develop impactful preparation materials tailored to each client's specific needs and context. Provide quality control for the Lab outputs, crystallise key client issues and contribute to continuous improvement of the programme.
  • Live content creator: Critical to the successful delivery of each Digital Transition Lab, you take on the pivotal role for capturing and synthesising relevant content live using bespoke software and ensuring any technical issues are resolved seamlessly without any impact on the client experience.
  • Programme enhancement: Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the Transition Lab programme, identifying areas to connect and enable the business further and any programme improvements by utilising innovative solutions.
  • Facilitation support: Develop facilitation skills in the workshop methodology and Business Chemistry approach to provide support during Lab sessions when required.

The Transition Lab Programme is an extremely successful and flagship relationship programme of the firm. Over the past 14 years we have supported more than 2,000 senior C-suite individuals through our personalised one day workshops.

The role provides for significant senior client and Partner interactions as the Lab Manager is responsible for the effective and high quality delivery of the Labs. The insights gained through your time in the Transition Lab programme will be hugely beneficial in terms of the wider business acumen and awareness of key business issues having helped many of our C Suite clients navigate their own personal success.

Skills and experience:

Project management:
  • Proven project management experience, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail, seamless operation and impactful project delivery.
Stakeholder management and client-facing experience:
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, including experience navigating complex relationships and conflicting demands.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, demonstrating the ability to provide seamless content delivery and sound judgement and decision-making skills to resolve issues effectively under pressure.
  • A broad understanding and curiosity around client issues and what is keeping them awake at night.
Communication and relationship building:
  • Maintain excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the network and the confidence to interact effectively with senior clients and Deloitte Partners.
  • Curiosity for and knowledge of how firms such as Deloitte and other global professional services firms work, the range of services provided and how client relationships are developed.
Content and tech proficiency
  • Interest in and proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and software platforms. Strong technical proficiency with interactive software solutions desirable.
  • Possess exceptional ability to listen actively and synthesise complex information to capture key discussion points in real-time
Teamwork and collaboration:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality work.
  • Team player with a collaborative mind-set, helping to leverage capabilities and connections across the team and wider business to drive value and impact.

Personal independence
