Amazon Freight (Amazon's external facing Freight service) is hiring for Manager I, Billing & Payments in India and achieve a truly exceptional shipper experience in EU and UK regions. Join us in building the next big thing for Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
People Management:
- Directly manage and lead a team of Billing and Payment Analysts (Level 3 roles).
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify development opportunities, and support career growth for team members.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and workload distribution within the team.
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end billing and payments processes for assigned shipper accounts or regions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement streamlined workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., AF Operations, Tech, Program) to resolve complex billing issues or disputes.
- Ensure compliance with billing policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive team culture and promote continuous learning and development.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss updates, challenges, and best practices.
- Identify training needs and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions for the team.
- Collaborate with other managers or leaders within the Billing and Payments to align on strategies and initiatives.
- Review and analyze billing and payments data to identify trends, issues, or opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making for operations and program.
- Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for escalated billing inquiries or disputes from enterprise shippers or internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shipper account managers and cross-functional partners.
- Represent the team in cross-departmental meetings or initiatives related to billing and payments processes.

We are Amazon's middle-mile logistics technology solution for anyone looking to ship road freight in UK and Europe. We enable customers to ship your palletised shipment (Less-than-Truckload, LTL) or Full-Truckloads (FTL) directly to Amazon UK and EU Fulfilment Centres (FCs) or FTL to non-Amazon facilities at competitive prices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with Excel
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics, banking, commerce
- Good verbal and written communication
- Experience in FinOps process/billing & payments process/banking/fraud detection processes
- Knowledge of Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (Lean, etc.)
