The position supports the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that align with organizational strategy and workforce needs. This role provides subject matter expertise in compensation practices and serves as a key partner to Human Resources and operational leaders on pay decisions, job evaluations, and compensation program execution. The role leads complex projects and operational initiatives related to compensation programs, including wage structures, salary adjustments, and system-wide compensation initiatives. This role also provides guidance to team members and may oversee the work of compensation professionals to ensure high-quality analysis, consistent program application, and effective service delivery.
JOB TITLE: Manager, Compensation, Human Resources (Full time, Days - Hybrid)
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
LOCATION: Onsite/ Remote
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
SCHEDULE: 8:00-5:00 pm with some flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Provides guidance and expertise on compensation matters including pay decisions, job evaluations, policy interpretation, and market analysis.
- Leads the implementation and operational execution of compensation programs and initiatives, including wage adjustments and systemwide compensation reviews.
- Manages and delivers complex compensation analyses to support business decisions, workforce planning, and organizational changes.
- Partners with HR leaders and operational stakeholders to ensure compensation programs align with organizational priorities and workforce needs.
- Conducts market pricing, benchmarking, and survey participation to maintain competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Leads or supports compensation-related projects, including system integrations, wage program administration, and organizational restructuring initiatives.
- Serves as a compensation subject matter expert and provides consultation to HR partners and leadership across the organization.
- May provide guidance, coordination, or oversight for compensation team members to ensure consistent application of compensation programs and practices.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing datasets, building compensation models, or applying statistical methods.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Knowledge of compensation administration practices, job evaluation methodologies, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- For those hired after 03/16/2026, Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
- For those hired after 03/16/2026, 3 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, human resources, or related field required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00
