Job Description
Our Business Development & Marketing team plays a critical role in enhancing the Firm's reputation, expanding its client base and driving revenue growth. This team develops and implements strategic marketing plans to promote the Firm's legal services, leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences. They conduct market research to identify industry trends and client needs, positioning the Firm competitively within the legal marketplace. The team also manages client relationships, orchestrates business development initiatives, and seeks opportunities for partnerships and networking. Through compelling content creation, event planning and public relations efforts, they ensure that the Firm maintains a strong market presence and continues to attract and retain clients.The Global SRB Manager will oversee marketing and business development for an active global team of lawyers focused on SRB topics, including climate and human rights.The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Sustainability & Responsible Business Heads in Houston and London, the Senior BD & Marketing Manager in Hong Kong and senior members of the global BD & Marketing and Environmental Sustainability teams.Duties and AccountabilitiesBusiness Development and Client ManagementSupporting the development of market-focused initiatives for the SRB groupProviding input for client requests and pitches with an SRB component, working closely with global BDProject managing client requests for information on the Firm's operations relating to SRB, working with the Firm's global Environmental Sustainability teamMarketing and Profile RaisingExecuting proactive, trend driven, externally facing marketing campaigns, including bespoke client roundtables, thought leadership, conference participation and social media exposure, working closely with global Comms and BDManaging website content for the SRB GroupSupporting the global directories process and awards submissions focused on SRBTeam Infrastructure and AdministrationSupporting Global SRB Co-Leads, including coordinating regular Core Team, Wider Team and Associate meetingsProviding administrative support, including producing fortnightly Updates, maintaining BD collateral, internal resources and the Firm's Sustainability trackerPreparing reports and responding to requests from Firm managementQualifications and skillsThe ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with 7-10 years' experience working ideally in BD for a law or other professional services firmIdeally a basic understanding of SRB and an interest in the areaAbility to learn and build on knowledge of complex projects, markets, and structuresHighly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality workEffective multi-tasking, prioritisation, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlinesStrong work ethic, professionalism, and sense of responsibility, with sound analytical and decision-making skillsTeam player with the ability to work independently, engage and build strong relationships, and gain the confidence of colleagues at all levelsExperience working with a CRM, ideally InterAction, and understanding of basic business development principlesAbility to coordinate projects and teams across time zones, with an acute awareness of cultural sensitivitiesWhat We OfferWhen you join us, you'll be working directly with partners, business leaders and many other inspiring colleagues across our global network of offices.
