Management Accountant

Robert Walters - Management Accountant - Permanent - Hybrid (3 days on-site) - Solihull - £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Solihull, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, support business decision-making through insightful reporting, and develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge where appropriate.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to support business objectives.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Provide support and guidance to junior members of the finance team where required.
• Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and business projects as the organisation continues to grow.

Key essentials of the Management Accountant:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant position.
• Strong month-end accounting experience.
