Management Accountant

Our client, a growing international organisation, who is based in Athlone,is looking to hire an ambitious,newly qualifiedaccountant to join their finance team in a newly createdManagement Accountantrole. It is a full time permanent position. Hybrid work arrangements available after 6 months, post successful probation.

In this role, you would be responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, providing insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journals, reconcile key balance sheet accounts
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and supplier payments
• Conduct month-end performance reviews and variance analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Prepare VAT returns and adhere to group policies
• Maintain supporting schedules and accurate financial records
• Work with large data sets to extract and analyse relevant financial information

Requirements

• Must be a qualified accountant with at least 2 years post-qualified experience
• Strong accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with non-finance teams
