Job Description

The role involves leading and expanding philanthropic efforts through strategic engagement with high-net-worth individuals. It focuses on:

• Cultivating and managing a large portfolio of major donors.
• Building strong relationships with potential donors capable of making substantial gifts.
• Enhancing existing donor commitments through excellent stewardship and personalised account management.
• Guiding the development of impactful projects that deepen donor understanding and encourage future investment.
• Crafting compelling, mission-aligned communications that inspire support through storytelling and tailored proposals.
• Collaborating across teams to lead fundraising initiatives and explore new funding opportunities.
• Upholding the organisation's values and reputation in all donor interactions

The Successful Applicant

The successful Major Donor Manager should have:

• Proven experience in fundraising or donor management within the charity sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of donor databases and reporting tools.
• An understanding of fundraising regulations and ethical practices.
