NRL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing client's team on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension. Glenrothes based.
Shift PatternsContinental shift: OR 3-shift pattern: Location and Working Pattern Shift options: Continental shifts (12 hours) - 4 on, 4 off3 shifts - Monday to Friday (37 hours): day, back, night
Client OverviewOur client is a leading engineering organisation operating within a high-performing environment. They value innovation, reliability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across operations.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of MAE and equipment maintenance techniques to deliver efficient service.
- Share information with team members to support shared objectives and effectiveness.
- Use expertise to improve MAE reliability through proactive planning and execution.
- Generate and share improvement ideas to optimise performance.
- Identify and eliminate root causes of unplanned downtime.
- Complete planned and follow-up maintenance tasks to a high standard.
- Detect common faults and propose practical solutions.
- Reduce waste and inefficiencies through planned activity.
- Contribute to the development of systems, procedures and work standards that enhance existing processes.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of CNC and general engineering machinery.
- ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and/or relevant industry experience.
- Competent in Microsoft Office products.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach.
- Resilient and able to manage pressure effectively.
- Demonstrable initiative and willingness to share ideas for improving processes.
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the role.
