Job Description
Maintenance Technician

NRL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing client's team on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension. Glenrothes based.

Shift Patterns

Continental shift: OR 3-shift pattern: Location and Working Pattern Shift options: Continental shifts (12 hours) - 4 on, 4 off3 shifts - Monday to Friday (37 hours): day, back, night

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of MAE and equipment maintenance techniques to deliver efficient service.
  • Share information with team members to support shared objectives and effectiveness.
  • Use expertise to improve MAE reliability through proactive planning and execution.
  • Generate and share improvement ideas to optimise performance.
  • Identify and eliminate root causes of unplanned downtime.
  • Complete planned and follow-up maintenance tasks to a high standard.
  • Detect common faults and propose practical solutions.
  • Reduce waste and inefficiencies through planned activity.
  • Contribute to the development of systems, procedures and work standards that enhance existing processes.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of CNC and general engineering machinery.
Must-have Requirements
  • ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office products.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach.
  • Resilient and able to manage pressure effectively.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Demonstrable initiative and willingness to share ideas for improving processes.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the role.
