Maintenance Team Leader Location: between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking . Package: £44,000 - £54,000 + additional allowances (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience) Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. As Maintenance Team Leader, you'll take the lead in supervising and supporting asset maintenance and delivery teams. This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll be central to ensuring our plant and equipment remain reliable, safe and fully operational to meet programme requirements.If you're seeking a role where no two days are the same, where your expertise keeps essential assets running and your leadership helps guide a skilled team, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. We do need you to have the following: An ONC, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC equivalent gained through an Apprenticeship OR College route in engineering Experience of managing a team Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor or similar within an industrial or commercial manufacturing environment Leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a team Good understanding of current health and safety legislation Strong technical skills in electrical engineering. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Commitment to ongoing improvement, suggesting modifications to existing machinery or processes to enhance efficiency, safety, or performance Experience of using diagnostic tools and methods to identify root causes of problems. EC&I knowledge, training or qualifications City and Guilds 2382-th Edition wiring regulation Experience using asset management platforms for planning, scheduling or reporting Work hard, be rewarded: We ask a lot and set the bar high because our work truly matters.
