Job Description

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson with strong supervisory skills and a comprehensive understanding of health and safety for the role of Maintenance Supervisor.

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE

The role carries a permanent contract of 40 hours per week, working any 5 days out of 7. Shifts are varied, typically from 08:00 to 18:00 but subject to flexibility.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carry out a broad range of maintenance tasksin accordance withyour skillset andparticipatein maintenance activities such as installing,maintaining, decorating, light plumbing, tiling, light joinery, PAT testing,groutingand silicone work.
  • Support in the coordination of schedules to ensure the fabric of the building is both aesthetically well-maintained, as well aswholly compliantwith all areas of legislation, completing necessary checks and records.
  • Ensure that all tasks, requests, and project work is carried out to high finishing standards and ina timelymatter, meeting agreed timescales on project work.
  • Ensure that the planned maintenance schedules and projectschedules are kept up to date.
  • Work closely with all departments especially Housekeeping tomaintaincompany standards within guest bedrooms and public areas. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the building and its grounds.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • Have at least two years' experience in a maintenance-based role, with a strong aptitude for carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks.
  • Previous experience in specific trades such as tiling, plastering or plumbing.
  • Fully computer literate and confident using maintenance or compliance systems.
  • Experience working within an accommodation-based commercial environment such as hotels, newbuild housing or rented accommodation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with consistently high standards of workmanship and presentation.
  • Able to work at pace while supporting and guiding others, with the ability to take initiative where required.
  • Good understanding of health and safety protocols and supporting compliance within a maintenance environment.
  • Confident in carrying out and supporting a broad range of general maintenance tasks, with a solid technical understanding.
