Reporting to a senior facilities manager, you will work within a supportive team environment in one of the area's leading public sector bodies.

About you
  • Degree in Building Studies or equivalent (or relevant equivalent qualification) with at least 1 year of experience, or
  • BTEC Higher Diploma in Building Studies (or equivalent) with 2 years' experience, or
  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience working on domestic properties' design, maintenance or improvement projects
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of property inspections, maintenance standards, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What you'll do
  • Conduct property inspections according to a set timetable to assess maintenance needs and authorise contractors' work
  • Oversee and monitor the quality of maintenance works to ensure standards are met
  • Communicate effectively with tenants regarding maintenance policies, work progress, and responsibilities
  • Identify and report deficiencies in service delivery to expedite remedial actions
  • Liaise with housing staff to coordinate re-let preparations after tenancy changes
