Within our Facilities Management division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our clients' sites.

PositionAs part of our continued growth, our FM division's small works team is looking to appoint an experienced and professional Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the South East project Fabric team, delivering responsive repairs and minor refurbishments to client properties across South East-based contracts.
(NOTE: this is a mobile role requiring you to be split across multiple sites in London, Surrey, and occasionally Kent. Each project will last 2/3 days to a week at a particular site. You will commute to the same site until the project is complete, so you will not be mobile across multiple sites in one day.)
Responsibilities- Perform basic building maintenance and repairs, including painting & decorating, tiling, plastering, etc.
- Install and repair timber & UPVC doors and windows
- Standard fencing installation
- Compression fittings as part of kitchen fit-outs
- Gutter repair and installation
- Floor laying and maintenance
- Act in the best interests of BJF when on site and dealing with clients
- Work safely and to a high standard, following best practices
- Be responsible for the health, safety, and wellbeing of your team and promote a positive safety culture
- Promote and embody BJF TEAMS values
- Basic plumbing skills
- MEWP and PASMA qualification preferred
- City & Guilds or other relevant accredited qualification
- Ability to assess repairs and complete works with minimal guidance
