Maintenance Assistant

Type of Contract: Permanent

Location: Frasers Place Canary Wharf

Responsibilities

As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will:

  • Take responsibility for the general maintenance of the property and carry out installation, repair and upkeep of facilities to ensure guest expectations are met.
  • Oversee and perform maintenance tasks related to building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixtures and equipment across all areas.
  • Coordinate safety procedures and regulatory compliance to ensure the safety and security of property and people.
  • Plan and oversee repair and installation activities, including fire safety installations, and contribute to room availability for sale.
  • Promote sustainability and green policies and develop new ways to improve sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory local legislation and regulations, particularly health and safety, building regulations and fire safety.
  • Communicate effectively as part of a motivated team and maintain a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance role with knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and related technical areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Customer service orientation with an enthusiasm for teamwork and creating positive guest experiences.
  • Interest in developing leadership and team management skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
