Maintenance and Contracts manager

Formally based in Harrow, with travel across South London, Kent and Sussex

Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Earn circa £57,500 pa negotiable based on skills and experience plus annual car allowance of £4,500, and other great benefits including health cash plan!

You'll take charge of day-to-day maintenance across your patch. You'll manage repairs and empty homes, lead a small team and work closely with contractors to make sure the work gets done to a high standard. What you'll do

Build, develop, lead and support your team though a supportive and coaching approach, managing performance where required.

Build strong, professional relationships with contractors to ensure great outcomes

Use your commercial know how to manage contracts and challenge underperformance

Plan and deliver repairs and voids services to a high standard with minimal disruption

Keep a close eye on budgets, timelines, quality and customer satisfaction

Spot opportunities for improvements and help bring them to life

What you bring

A RICS or CIOB accredited Building Surveying degree, or clearly evidenced equivalent experience built through your career

Proven experience working in construction or maintenance with strong commercial and project management know-how

Confidence working with contracts, data and reports to spot trends and make smart, informed decisions

A solid understanding of housing legislation and compliance, with the ability to adapt when things shift

Natural people leadership, with the ability to support, challenge and bring out the best in your team

A clear, organised way of working with the drive to keep things moving and deliver results under pressure

Job details

You'll work Monday to Friday

The patch you'll cover encompasses South London, Kent, East and West Sussex.

The wider team are based in Harrow where you will be expected to meet with them one day a week.

You'll manage your own diary so will be able to plan how you spend your time with your team, colleagues, customers or contractors

To get from A to B, you'll need a car insured for business purposes. We'll pay you a car allowance and mileage to cover that use!

You need a Basic DBS check done and we'll also arrange that for that.
