Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Machine Learning Scientist - Robotics & Automation to join our growing R&D team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and deploying intelligent algorithms that power next-generation robotic systems and autonomous platforms. You will work closely with robotics engineers, software developers, and product teams to build data-driven solutions that enable machines to perceive, learn, adapt, and act in real-world environments.

This position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about artificial intelligence, robotics, and applied machine learning, and who thrives in a fast-paced, research-oriented startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for robotics and automation systems.

  • Build and optimize algorithms for perception, motion planning, control, and decision making.

  • Work with sensor data (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, depth sensors) to enable real time robotic intelligence.

  • Conduct experiments, simulations, and validations to improve model accuracy and performance.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate ML models into robotic hardware and software stacks.

  • Develop pipelines for data collection, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment.

  • Research and apply state of the art techniques in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision.

  • Monitor and continuously improve deployed models in production environments.

  • Document methodologies, models, and results for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in Python; experience with C++ is a plus.

  • Hands on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.

  • Solid understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.

  • Experience in computer vision, SLAM, or sensor fusion is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of robotics middleware such as ROS/ROS2.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning, AI research, or robotics related roles.

  • Proven experience building and deploying ML models in real world or industrial applications.

  • Experience working with robotic systems, autonomous platforms, or embedded systems is preferred.

  • Exposure to research environments, academic publications, or innovation labs is an advantage.

Working Hours
  • Full time position, 40 hours per week.

  • Flexible working hours with core collaboration time.

  • Hybrid or remote options may be available depending on project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling and algorithm design.

  • Ability to translate business and engineering problems into ML solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and MLOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
