About the roleDue to continued contract growth, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our delivery team. You will support the design, build, and commissioning phases of projects, working closely with Project and Site Managers to ensure programmes and budgets are met.
LocationDue to growth, we will consider applicants that can comfortably commute to Shelton or Beckford.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager in managing engineering activities and monitoring progress against the project plan.
- Provide method statements, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Deliver technical briefings to project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure correct material specifications, timely procurement, and maintain material schedules.
- Implement inspection and surveillance regimes aligned with company standards.
- Provide on-site support to resolve engineering issues and minimise rework.
- Assist with procurement, H&S documentation, M&E installation supervision, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, company standards, and HSQE requirements.
- Complete safety inspections and close out actions promptly.
- Prepare project documentation including procurement schedules, RAMS, SWPs, with input into programmes and Forecasting.
- Coordinate with clients and subcontractors on H&S audits and inspections.
- Support site activities to maintain programme and QA/ITP compliance.
- Apply basic NEC contract knowledge (time, cost, EWNs) and contribute to quality planning.
- Proven MEICA related project experience.
- Strong process knowledge in water treatment, water movement, and chemical dosing.
- Familiarity of control systems, manual and actuated valves, instrumentation and quality instrumentation.
- Hydraulic understanding of water distribution, boosted systems, and pumped dosing systems.
- Proficiency in MS Project for creating detailed programmes and cost build ups.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
