M&A Counsel (FTC)

Overview

An international services business is seeking an immediately available M&A lawyer to join its legal team for one month, with the possibility of extension. The role can be largely remote, but you must be based in England with access to the London office if your presence is required. Following completion of ongoing M&A deals, the assignment may extend to cover business-as-usual commercial contracts work.

Responsibilities

• Project-manage the concluding stages of multiple M&A transactions, coordinating with external counsel, the General Counsel and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure deadlines are met and arrange internal processes for completion.

Qualifications

• Senior E&W qualified lawyer (7+ PQE as a guide) with private practice training and significant subsequent private practice experience, approximately 5+ years.
• Proven M&A experience is required; additional in-house and/or commercial experience is valued.
• Ability to work largely remotely while being prepared to attend the Central London office at the beginning and/or end of the assignment.

Role Details

• Contract type: Temporary assignment with potential extension; initially approximately one month.
• Location: London-based with remote work options; must be based in England and have access to the London office if needed.
• Industry: Legal / In-house & Generalist focus.
• Salary: Up to £150,000 per annum pro rata.
• Workplace type: Remote with required in-person presence at start/end as needed.
