About the role

The Lunchtime Supervisor will work within Elm Tree Primary Academy, a special school for autistic pupils with additional learning needs. The role involves supervising children during lunch, supporting activities in the playground and dining hall, and ensuring that dinner times are meaningful and enjoyable breaks.

Key details
  • Hours per week: 7.5 (Term Time only)
  • Salary: Band B SCP 4 £25,185 FTE (Actual salary £4,457 per annum)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Elm Tree Primary Academy, Friar Park Road, Wednesbury, WS10 0TB
  • Closing date: 11 May 2026
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Passion for working with children with additional needs.
  • Capacity to support activities in the playground and dining hall.
  • Energetic, positive and able to work effectively as part of our team.
  • Willingness to expand knowledge and expertise through additional training opportunities.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to make great things happen for our children.
  • Fluency in spoken English (essential requirement under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016).
  • Eligibility for an enhanced DBS disclosure and ability to meet all safeguarding requirements.

Elm Tree Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and will have to provide an online search as part of the recruitment process. The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement of the role.
