Credit Controller (London Market)

We are seeking a Credit Controller for a full-time position in London, reporting to the Head of Premium Debt Management.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Credit Control role supporting activities within the London Market.

You will be part of the Underwriting Business Management Division, responsible for premium credit control, including monitoring, reporting, processing, and analyzing business underwritten by managed Syndicates and related Group companies.

You must understand Lloyd's Minimum Standards regarding credit control and premium collection procedures.

Your responsibilities include monitoring premium payments, processing credit control transactions, supporting the central Premium Debt management process, and maintaining effective relationships with underwriters, brokers, and third parties.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Premium Debt team with credit control processes and manage accurate premium data daily.
  • Analyze and investigate aged debtor balances regularly.
  • Chase, resolve, negotiate, and reconcile aged debt accounts with brokers.
  • Handle complex reconciliations and liaise with underwriters to resolve premium queries efficiently.
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams to improve premium credit control management.
  • Monitor premium payments through relevant systems.
  • Respond to internal queries and manage tasks within set timelines.
  • Develop operational analysis of premium payment trends and verify unpaid premiums.
  • Document processes effectively and engage stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Assist other team areas and provide coverage as needed.
  • Promote good conduct and understand escalation responsibilities related to conduct risk.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience in Lloyd's London market is beneficial.
  • Experience in Insurance is essential.
